Who we are
We are the Eckendoerffer family, and for over 20 years, we have been dedicating all our passion to the outdoor lodging industry. Today, we are proud to introduce Campéa, the group that brings together our two campgrounds:
- Les Castors Campground in Alsace (4-star, in Burnhaupt-le-Haut, Haut-Rhin).
- Les Ballastières Campground (3-star, in Champagney, Haute-Saône).
Campéa is the culmination of our commitment to offering our campers authentic, nature-filled, and friendly vacations in two exceptional regions: Alsace and the Southern Vosges.

Les Castors Campground in Alsace – The Alsatian spirit by the lake and river
Located in Burnhaupt-le-Haut, our 4-star campground is a haven in the heart of the Alsatian countryside. Here, you’ll enjoy:
- Set in a wooded area with two natural ponds (for swimming and catch-and-release fishing).
- Typical accommodations: chalets inspired by Alsatian architecture, unique cabins (Robin Hood, Hansel and Gretel), mobile homes, and sites for tents or RVs.
- With a 100% Alsatian atmosphere: folk evenings, local specialties, and an Alsatian neighborhood unlike any other in the world.
- Activities for everyone: hiking, mountain biking, games for kids, and entertainment during peak season.

Les Ballastières Campground – Relaxation between the lake and the river in the Southern Vosges
Tucked away in Champagney, in the Haute-Saône department, our 3-star campground is a peaceful retreat on the shores of a lake and a river. Here, you’ll enjoy:
- Direct access to a first lake for fishing and paddling in a float tube, and to a second lake with a beach equipped for swimming and relaxation.
- An outdoor pool to cool off in the summer.
- A variety of accommodations: mobile homes, cottages, unique tents (Bivouac on Stilts, Canadian-style, Trapper), the floating chalet (our new and unique creation), and campsites for tents or RVs.
A pristine natural setting: views of the Vosges Mountains, hiking trails.
Activities for the whole family: fishing, hikes, seasonal events, and exploring local heritage sites (Ronchamp Chapel, Planche des Belles Filles, etc.).
